Essay / Romeo and Juliet - 717
Important experiences are an important factor in shaping and developing an individual's choices. They can really impact how someone acts and feels depending on the situation. In William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet, the lovers undertake an experiment that plays with their fragile emotions. This challenges them to try to manage the conflict that prevents them from achieving what they want. Juliette, a composed young girl, quickly falls in love, which makes her actions irrational. Love can lead an individual to make quick and irrational decisions followed by strong actions. Juliet's introduction into the play shows an innocent and illogical girl. She has lived her life sheltered from the outside world, since she is the daughter of the Capulets. His thoughts are intact because of the protection given to him. Juliette's views on love and marriage are very limited. Her words "It's an honor I don't dream of" emphasize that she never had a strong desire for love or even knowledge of it. This didn't worry her much, she was still identified as an ordinary teenager. The way she was portrayed at the beginning shows how she undergoes a drastic change that significantly alters her outlook on life and love. Shakespeare revealed Juliet as she was to help show the rapid and emotional change happening to her. She is immature because she has no experience or knowledge of what love is, only what it appears to be. The first meeting Juliet had with Romeo automatically influenced Juliet's views on love and marriage, which had been brought to her attention just minutes earlier. When Juliet laid eyes on Romeo, she felt like she was in love with someone she had never met. The lovers spoke little...... middle of paper...... with the pressure of all the events. Juliette grew up in a sense by taking things into her own hands, but she still needed more experience to fully grow up, inside there is still a little girl. Juliet and Romeo were very much in love at that time. The desire to be together and other factors created more stress, which led to their actions. Juliette was overwhelmed by her emotions which convinced her to act as she did. She was simply too young to achieve much, so she acted for herself and what she felt she wanted without concern for others. This shows how much one thing truly controlled the way Juliette was in just a few days. In Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, he really describes the effect that love had on Juliet and how it can make someone irrational followed by harsh actions.
