Just as when America feared that German immigrants would sweep away British culture, the current wave of immigration receives the same stance from critics. It was once thought that 19th-century immigrants could not assimilate into society, but this turned out to be false. The accumulation of these foreign groups in society allows us to have great influence on other parts of the world through our enriched and diverse culture and the addition of our production capacity. If we were more conducive to the possible assimilations of different cultures into our own, the reform process would be better. Using immigration to build our success would not be new. “America is a nation of nations, made up of people of all countries, races and faiths.
