Launching a creative at the right time can make or break the film. This argument has been discussed and analyzed by numerous authors. Finding the right time is the goal of any production business to maximize revenue. Disney has produced many films, some with great success and others with complete failure. One film that suffered from poor release times despite being a good production was The Lone Ranger. The film starring Jonny Depp and Gore Verbinski was supposed to be a hit. It was based on the premise that the similarities between Johnny Depp's characters in Pirates and The Lone Ranger would appeal to audiences. This was not the case.
