Automotive technicians are the people who repair your cars and make them run smoothly for you without problems. When you work in this job, you also need good training. You can't just jump in and work on a car, you need proper training. Mechanics have many tasks on the job that involve a lot of computers and repairing parts for the customer's car. Mechanics earn a very good salary that continues to increase with experience gained on the job. Auto technicians are a great career because you work with many tools to solve the problem, you get a well-paying job, and you will never have to worry about finding a job because mechanics are needed everywhere. Automotive technicians must go through education before becoming a professional mechanic. To start working, you will need a high school diploma or similar degree to be able to work as an automotive technician. Having your high school diploma would be better than anything else because it could show that you are a hard worker. If you want to get a higher salary, you will need to continue your education and complete a training program which usually lasts 6 months to a year. In these schools, learning is mostly hands-on and there is not much classroom learning. learning takes place outside, in the store. Going to a school geared toward this career would be a good place to go after high school because it might give you a better chance of getting a job than just your high school diploma. Automotive technicians need a lot of training and education to prepare for the job and do their best at their job.
