Paper #3CONSPIRACY is based on the only surviving report of a German meeting held in the middle of World War II. The meeting was intended to determine what the Germans would do with the many Jews Germany was holding captive. The meeting solution would constitute the model for the final solution proposed by Hitler. The film that is the subject of this article; CONSPIRACY takes place during the year 1942, more precisely on January 20. The film was written by Loring Mandel and directed by Frank Pierson. The film was released on May 19, 2001. The main objective of this film is to tell the story of this meeting which would determine the fate of six million lives. This meeting was attended by fifteen different German officials, from SS commanders to various government ministers. . The meeting was held on the outskirts of Berlin, in a house owned by the leader of the meeting, SS security chief Reinhard Heydrich. The fifteen different men were invited to what they thought would be a polite conference with food, wine, cigars, and some debate, but little did they know that the reasons for the meeting were ill-intentioned. When the men first entered the house; after a few rounds of “Hail Hitler,” they sat around a long, rounded conference table. First, they all introduced themselves: SS Major General Heinrich Muller, Dr. Gerhard Klopfer, Dr. Willhelm Kritzinger, SS Lieutenant General Otto Hoffman, Dr. Georg Leibbrant, Dr. Alfred Meyer, Dr. Willhelm Stuckart, Undersecretary Martin. Luther, Erich Neumann, Rudolph Lange, Dr. Joseph Buhler, SS Colonel Eberhard Schongarth, Dr. Roland Freisler, as well as Eichmann and Heydrich. After introducing themselves, these fifteen men were all invited to open the files which were placed on the table in front of... in the middle of a paper... only surviving document which was the copy of Undersecretary Martin Luther of the Wannsee . The conference minutes were discovered in the archives of the German Foreign Ministry by American investigators in 1947. In conclusion, writer Loring Mandel and director Frank Pierson have made a very good film. The film has a very well combined cast with Kenneth Branagh, Stanley Tucci and the many co-stars. The actors were very believable in their characters, which helps draw the viewer into the story. The film has a very clear thesis, very well formulated and supported in detail. He is very factual in his account of events and does not give a "Hollywood twist" to the story..
