    The Jungle is the novel by Upton Sinclair which tells the tragedy of Jurgis Rudkus and his family, Lithuanian immigrants who travel to America to work in the processing plants of Chicago meat. It is a dark story of suffering and hardship. The story begins with Jurgis Rudkus and Ona Lukoszaite, a young immigrant couple from Lithuania in Chicago, celebrating their wedding. feast in a saloon in an area of ​​Chicago known as Packingtown.
