About Low Impact Aerobics Low impact aerobics is often described as an exercise in which you always have one foot on the ground. This minimizes the force landing your feet on the ground, unlike high-impact aerobics, which typically involves vigorous jumping, dragging, and bouncing movements. Low-impact aerobics is usually done to music, and in addition to your lower body, you can use your upper body to increase your heart rate. Low impact should not be confused with low intensity, as it can still significantly increase your heart rate up to your target heart rate zone, benefiting your cardiovascular and respiratory system.
