    “It’s an all too common sight these days: teenagers never looking up, glued to their cell phones every hour of the day” (Bautista). Teenagers are distracted in one way or another, and by taking advantage of what our technology is capable of. Student cell phone use statewide in Pennsylvania should be banned because students are more likely to cheat, cell phones cause distractions, and hallways will become unsafe. In a recent survey conducted, a third of teens with cellular devices admitted to storing information for reference during tests, and even texting their friends to find out their answers. The parents of these students think that their child has enough integrity to prevent them from cheating, but unfortunately, they are wrong. If we can eliminate cheating, we must take into account that almost one in four students assume that using a cell phone to get information or answers does not constitute cheating (minors do not don't stop there).
