Born into a family of engineers, I instilled a deep enthusiasm for engineering and hands-on experimentation with dreams of futuristic ideas. During my childhood, when my father helped me build complex mechanical models, my affinity for the machine-related field was born from observation and association. As I started implementing them, I just got immersed in the whirlwind of engineering and that served as the main source of inspiration for my career. My academic career began at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, a highly reputed school in the city and India, with exceptional results. In my higher secondary examination, I scored a centum in Mathematics and Chemistry and a first rank in my second language (Sanskrit), which places me in the top 1% overall in the state of Tamil Nadu. To crown my achievements, I also received the C.Subramaniam award for “Excellence of Character” which testifies to my individuality. With the benefit of freedom of choice of college and program of study, orientation and advice from professors and researchers in the field and as the most logical extension of my passion for research, I opted for the mechanical engineering at Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT, established in 1956) – one of the oldest and most notable institutions in the state and the country. I have always been looking for opportunities to excel and ranked in the top 2% of my class with 90% and above graduations every semester. My quest for knowledge was not limited to the university campus alone. Realizing that computer applications are essential to strengthen the study of core subjects and are an essential tool for research, I learned 2D modeling software (Autocad) from VRET Autodesk Education Partne...... middle of paper......any field requires the utmost efforts, in-depth knowledge of contemporary advancements under the able guidance of the best in the industry and only intense interest can enable the best to come true. I believe I have a very intense interest in industrial engineering, with a particular interest in engineering management, quality control and operations research. I believe that the best place to continue my studies is in countries that are advanced in technology and offer high quality education. As the United States is ranked highest in the above fields, I chose the University of Southern California to embark on this academic career. If I had the opportunity to become a graduate student in your reputed university, I would be able to present a good image of myself and successfully achieve the goals I have set for myself and be an asset to the department and the university.
