INTODUCTION TO EXOTIC FOOD: SNAKEAs we all know, snake is a poisonous animal and many people are afraid of it because its poisonous venom can cause death in some cases. Most people will choose to kill the snake whenever they find one in their living area. Some snakes are venomous and others are harmless colubrids. The most venomous snakes are the rattlesnake, fer-de-lance, bushmaster, coral snake, copperhead, and water moccasin. Harmless colubrid snakes include the water snake, black snake, green snake, rat snake, and garter snake. However, many people prefer to eat snakes instead of killing them. This may be due to the nutritional value contained in the snake. For example, some people believe that eating snake helps improve skin quality. Further research has also shown that all snakes are edible. However, it must be properly prepared and cooked before serving as it is a venom. Therefore, the reason why I chose this topic is why people eat snakes. According to ITM Online, snakes have medicinal values in Chinese culture.
