  • Essay / Unjust Laws Threaten Justice, A Letter to the President

Unfair Laws Threaten JusticeDear President ObamaAs I read an article about the death of a well-respected person who called for gun ownership, I I have come to the conclusion that all laws support guns. property is unjust. This man was one of the most prominent proponents of gun ownership. He was found shot to death. However, the weapons he had could not save his life. Your Excellency, allow me to set the record straight. Our lack of gun control has led to a seemingly endless series of tragedies, multiple murders carried out by deranged people and has finally reached every venue, especially our schools. “Each year, more than 3,000 gun-related suicides and homicides occur in the United States. Every day, more than 82 people are killed due to firearm injuries.” (Jost, 2008). All U.S. states have passed laws allowing gun owners to keep and carry weapons for personal protection. Gun misuse is considered a major problem in every state in the United States. According to United Nations reports and the Washington Post, "the United States has weaker gun regulations and a higher number of accidents than any other industrialized or developed country in the world." » » (Max Fisher). Mr. President, I call on you and all respected figures in Congress to take real action against the destruction and misery caused by unjust gun laws. I strongly ask you to take into consideration this real disaster that has happened to many companies in the United States. You must adopt more changes and new strategies to avoid mass destruction caused by unjust laws. Guns are not necessary, not to individuals if they need protection, but they are necessary for the government to use them to protect individuals... middle of paper ...... or protection of individuals, they will unfortunately bring misery and destruction to most families in the United States. Nevertheless, it is necessary for the United States government to pass new gun laws, impose strict restrictions on the use of firearms, and impose strict control on gun traffickers.
