How much has my life changed in the last few months? Going from high school to college means a huge academic leap and a complete change in my life. Even though high school was my first academic experience in the United States; my college life is more complex than my high school life, especially when it comes to course structure, study routine, and enjoyment of free time. My college classes and my high school classes have their own structure. I really like the structure of the college courses because they are flexible. I have full control over my class time, allowing me to plan my activities in advance. My current classes last from fifty minutes to an hour and twenty minutes. I like taking short courses because I can focus more on one topic and I don't get bored in class. In addition, I can choose my schedule and transform it to my liking. This semester I have very good instructors in all four classes I am taking. All of them are very professional and ready to teach when they come to class; in addition, they present the material in a simple way, in each class. When I got to college, I started to feel responsible; in college, I have more responsibilities as a student. In college, if I do not understand any subject, it is my responsibility to contact my professor during office hours. I don't have to be in class; so it's my decision to stay in class or not. I can say that now I am officially eighteen! On the other hand, I consider the course structure that I had in high school to be obsolete. Before, I had very long lessons and I couldn't even change them. I didn't like most of my teachers in high school because they didn't teach with passion, and...... middle of paper...... about my dating while I I was in high school. I actually like the fact that in high school I had more free days because of all the vacations; however, the summer in high school is not as long as in college. I definitely enjoy my free time a lot more now at university than when I was in high school. My college life is more complex than my high school life was because now I have a better class structure, an effective study routine, and I enjoy my free time more. I can say that coming to college was a great decision since I learned important rules in grammar, new formulas in mathematics, and fascinating works of art in humanities. But high school was a great experience, establishing the foundation of my current knowledge and allowing me to meet wonderful friends. Despite the distractions in my life, my college and high school studies were a great experience in my university life..
