  • Essay / What issues do students face with community...

Many people have realized the benefits of attending a community college rather than a university. Community colleges are working to give students more resources to help them succeed in their courses. And the money became available through automatic scholarships and discounts for some students. But colleges must continue to battle budget cuts and low funding. They need to continue to provide plenty of resources for their students. One problem that continues to be prevalent is the lack of focus on earning a degree. Community colleges often focus more on getting students to attend their colleges than on getting them to graduate. Colleges need to focus more on degrees and provide more support to students to help them plan their careers, advise them on which courses to take, and discourage students from taking courses that do not count toward their degree.
