    When the presenter discussed bourgeois feminine ideals, I realized that I viewed women working in sex as victims. My belief was that no woman would be willing to engage in sex work and that something had clearly happened to them in their lives that had contributed to their desire or need to engage in this work. I believed that sex workers needed help and my belief would greatly hinder my ability to work with people affected by sex work or explore their sexual identity. I am proud to believe in autonomy, especially for women who must make their own choices.
