She tries to appear optimistic, but she and Corinne are heartbroken. Mom cheers Corinne up by reminding her of Curtis' upcoming birthday at Corinne's grandparents' cabin. Grandparents' cabin scene - Corinne and Curtis go up to the cabin with Corinne's parents. Corinne shows Curtis to his room. Once they enter the room, they start kissing. A few moments later, they hear the voices of Corinne's parents in the hallway. They state that Corinne will sleep in the room across from Curtis, with her mother and father. Curtis and Corinne go out and explore the ranch the cabin is built on. Restaurant Scene – Curtis and Corinne are dining together at a restaurant. The restaurant staff brings out a small piece of cake with a candle on it and sings happy birthday. Lake Scene - Corinne and Curtis are floating in a boat, watching the sunset.
