Nowadays, many teenagers are trying to lose weight. Some of their attempts to lose weight are often unhealthy. One of the most popular methods of losing weight is dieting or regulated selection of foods, for example for medical reasons or for weight loss. A large number of adolescents resort to unhealthy behaviors when it comes to weight loss. According to Neumark-Sztainer, Story, Hannan, Perry, and Irving (2002), “more than half of girls and 1/3 of boys engage in unhealthy behaviors to control their weight, such as fasting, taking laxatives, skipping meals or smoke too much. control appetite. Obviously, teenagers are trying to lose weight incorrectly. An extreme diet will not help you lose weight; you have to know how to be in good health. Neumark-Sztainer et al. The drastic behavior of adolescents to lose weight calls into question the effectiveness of diets and other weight loss methods. Diets need to be rethought because they have been shown to cause weight gain and many people make unhealthy mistakes while dieting.
