Sometimes I can't help but connect things and question everything I witness every day with sociology concepts. I am learning to break out of the structured norms of this society and understand the issues around me with sociological imagination as a practice. Additionally, I realized that all this time I was living in the comfort of what society had constructed as reality. It’s mind-blowing to realize that some things don’t happen or just work the way they are, they are in fact constructed by us, the agents of socialization. I understand that these social problems cannot be completely abolished since they have been inhabited throughout history, although I can start with something as simple as raising awareness among my internal groups such as family and close friends . Small changes will eventually grow and spread if we continue to implement what we believe in and share it like we do with social media.
