Bone resorption and formation occur with two bone cells: osteoblasts and osteoclasts (Rucci 2008, p. 49). Osteoblasts are the cells that participate in the secretion of organic and non-organic components of bone and allow the formation of new bone during the bone remodeling phase. Osteoclasts are the bone cells that inhibit the formation of new bone. bone and allows the healing process of the bone to occur (Porth 2012, pp. 1086 - 1087). Complications that may arise during the remodeling and healing phase are bone loss and other skeletal disorders may occur, such as osteoporosis, and there may be a deficit in the connection of marrow function (Rucci 2008, p. 49). Soft tissue injuries refer to injuries that affect the soft tissues of the body, including muscles, tissues, blood vessels, cartilage and tendons.
