Essay / Importance of my summer - 730
My friends and I went to the movies and saw The Shallows, which was about a girl who got bitten by a great white shark, and she tried to swim to safety, and all she had was a small island. The island was covered in water when the tide came in in the afternoon, so she had to swim to safety, but while swimming to safety, she had to fight the shark and she defeated the shark and his friends came to help him. This taught me that it is good to have friends because they will help you when you are in trouble. My family and I laid my grandparents' flooring in their kitchen and living room, they laid tile in the kitchen and dark hardwood flooring in the living room which made the house look like 'a brand new house. Doing all these things with my family was fun, but I didn't realize how much we could learn from each other just by spending time together. Spending time with family and friends has taught me that they are important and that we should spend time with each other every chance we get. Last summer taught me about teamwork, how God is always there for me no matter what, and how important it is to spend time with family and friends. All these things I learned this summer, I will never forget how important they are and how they impacted my life. My summer was full of excitement and new adventures with family and friends. Someone once said: “Every summer has its own story,”
