Oprah Winfrey is a charitable person while having a major influence in the entertainment industry. Oprah Winfrey was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi on January 29, 1954. Her parents were not married and separated after her conception. Growing up, she was very poor and often had to carry sacks of potatoes to school. Her mother's lack of supervision led to her being sexually assaulted by her mother's friends or boyfriends.
