CURRENT PEACE NEGOTIATION OF THE PAKISTAN TALIBANIntroduction:The Taliban appeared in the fall of 1994 and somehow presented themselves as a fact on the ground in the south of Afghanistan and fairly quickly made contact with the Pakistani army and the head of its intelligence service. There was a meeting at ISI headquarters with some of the early leaders of the Taliban, not Mullah Omar, but some of his aides and the head of the ISI in the late fall of 1994. It was an introductory meeting. From this beginning, the ISI became increasingly involved alongside the Taliban as the latter increased their ambitions in southern Afghanistan. The Afghan and US governments have been conducting indirect talks through intermediaries with the Afghan Taliban. April 3, 2014: Pakistan rescued 16 captives with the approval of the Prime Minister. Among them, no one is a Taliban commander. Some names included in these captives are Badshah Gul, Riazuddin, etc. They all belong to the Kaladam tehriq-i-taliban or taluq mehsul region. Two years ago, they were captured from different tribal areas (by Khebar Agency). But this news was false according to “Tarjuman Wazir-e-Azam.
