Essay / A place of worship: the mosque - 2091
In this essay, I will discuss the role and function as well as the main characteristics of the mosque in the Muslim community. The word mosque is defined as a “Muslim place”. of worship.” It is very important in Islam because it is the place where Muslims humbly face their lord, bow down to him and ask him. Muslims gather in mosques to pray their 5 daily prayers in congregation. It is a symbolism of Muslim unity and brotherhood. It also symbolizes equality because each person is the same, no one is superior to the other. During the time of the Prophet, the mosque was the most visited place by the Prophet and his companions. The Prophet (SAW) said: “I have received five of the things which were not bestowed on anyone before me: and for me the earth has become a mosque and a means of purification; therefore, if prayer takes hold of a person in my community, they must say their prayers (wherever they are). .."This Hadith states that wherever we are, when the time of Salah approaches, we should pray. In another Hadith, the Prophet (SAW) said: "Of all the places on earth, mosques are the most dear to Allah”. This Hadith symbolizes the importance of the mosque, because it is the house of Allah, it is where we are most rewarded for praying. The mosque has a few main characteristics that enable Muslims to. recognize a mosque. Most mosques have a minaret and a dome as well as a prayer hall. The mosque is usually decorated with inscriptions from the Quran and geometric designs. was the first mosque established on earth This is proof of the importance of the mosque in the Muslim community.1ai) Describe the main features of a specific mosque. The mosque I am going to talk about...... middle. paper......Masjid for the pleasure of Allah, Allah will build him a home in heaven.” This Hadith emphasizes that even building a mosque carries a huge reward. The most important thing is that even when we are not in the mosque, our heart should always be attached to the mosque, because the Prophet (SAW) said: “Actions are in accordance with intentions.” If our intentions are sincere, we will be rewarded for our actions. If we go to the mosque to show people how pious we are, our Namaz will not be accepted and instead of receiving the reward we should, our actions will be recorded as evil because of our intentions. .rabetah.com/apps/photos/photo/next?photoid=54015002. http://islam1.org/iar/imam/archives/1999/10/08/the_role_of_the_masjid.php All hadiths are taken from – “prayer according to the sunnah”, prof.
