These stores make their appeal based on a single line or closely related product lines. Because these stores specialize in a limited area, they are able to offer a wide assortment of products, a huge range of sizes and the latest styles. Because their buyers can focus on a few lines, their knowledge of those lines is more comprehensive than that of a buyer of many different lines. Specialty stores offer the opportunity to exercise high-level salesmanship, and salespeople in these stores often receive higher salaries than those in other stores. Much of the retail trade of wealthy individuals in large cities is directed to specialty stores. For example, if a customer visits a Reebok store, they only find Reebok products in the stores. • Multiplexes – When a group of stores all selling the same thing are grouped under one management, they become a multiplex.
