  • Essay / Coat for the Homeless Speech - 729

I think she looked comfortable on stage because she stood confidently and did a variety of hand gestures. She didn't move very often on stage but I don't think that affected her performance much. Throughout the speech, she maintained good eye contact with the audience, which made it seem more interpersonal. During the question and answer session, she also maintained eye contact with the person questioning her. It was extremely clear that she felt passionate about her hometown and its people. She said that even though she is now the CEO of a company, she is still involved in helping the people of her city. She feels committed to helping the homeless also because every person she hires to make the coats is homeless. She demonstrated good judgment because of her admirable business, but she also told the audience that she started with very little experience in the field.
