    Order versus Freedom in Political SystemsOrder and liberty are both necessary and beneficial to citizens and society in order to promote harmony, but they both contradict each other. This contradiction has existed for many years and it is still difficult to decide which one is ideal for society. This essay will discuss and analyze whether order or freedom is more important for political systems. Many believe the order should be enforced by the government; but it should be allowed within a certain limit and should not interfere in the personal life of a citizen. However, others believe that complete freedom should be given to individuals and nothing should be imposed as this leads to many differences among citizens. This essay will attempt to study and answer the long-awaited question; which of the two is more beneficial to society. Order is a requirement for a disciplined or prescribed agreement surrounded by elements to achieve a desirable goal. Many philosophers believed that order was necessary to encourage an egalitarian society in which one of them was Machiavelli. Machiavelli strongly believed in the need to achieve an egalitarian society. He adopted a different view centered on man and the nature of human beings as well as his relationships with other individuals. Machiavelli was the first modern political scientist who endorsed only empirical methods of analysis. So he was more concerned about the present than the consequences. Machiavelli focused and examined political history and studied city-states and rulers in depth in order to come up with general rules for political behavior. Machiavelli was also heavily influenced by the Romans: "A...... middle of paper ...... having order or freedom alone leads to many conflicts and disagreements within society .
