Every now and then we would come across a cute dog or find some cool seashells lying on the beach. Our adventure was always fun and it was a wonderful day; how could any of us not be happy. Well, my mother who accompanied us on this trip did not feel the same way. She was starting to get very tired of walking. Every 10 minutes we had to sit and wait for her to rest until she felt ready to continue. The time it took for her to rest was probably due to the length of this whole adventure. Eventually we came to what we thought was the end of the country. Where we thought the ground met at one point. From a distance, things tend to appear different from what they really are. There were five houses lined up in a straight line leading to the point. Near the water's edge the sand stopped and we could no longer walk. Right at the edge of the field there was a pile of wooden planks sticking out of the water as if there had been a dock there.
