    On September 1, 1939, Germany invaded Poland to start the greatest war humanity had ever known. A man named Adolf Hitler led a group called the Nazis. He convinced these men that the Jewish people had ruined the world and caused the fall of Germany after World War I. They were also against people like gypsies, criminals, or anyone they considered undesirable. Shortly after the Germans started, Japan and Italy joined their cause. As the war progressed, the Nazi party became bigger and stronger and countries began to fight back, but the Nazis were too strong. Then one day, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and, just like that, Americans were at war. That day we became mortal enemies of all of Japan and we were not going to hold back. America was going to end this war. They didn't know how but they were going to do it. Then one day America used the very first nuclear bombs. We bombed Japan twice, which was devastated and surrendered. America didn't stop there, it continued to fight to try to end the war. Eventually Italy and Germany surrendered and all remaining Jews were freed....
