    The retail sector comprises businesses engaged in the retail sale of goods, generally without conversion, and the provision of services is incidental to the sale of goods. Retailers are organized to exchange goods in small quantities with the public. This sector includes two main types: in-store and non-store retailers. In-store retailers operate through outlets, located and intended to attract walk-in customers. They generally sell merchandise to the public for personal or household consumption, but also serve commercial and institutional customers. Non-store retailers also serve the public, except that their retail sales patterns differ.
