  • Essay / An Essay on Williband Gluck - 765

Christoph Willibald Gluck was born on July 2, 1714 in Berching, Germany. He was born to Maria Walburga and Alexander Johannes Gluck. His father was a forester, who enforced the law in medieval times. He was also a hunter. Christoph Gluck's nationality was Bohemian and German. Growing up, Christoph became interested in music and how it was created. Christoph Gluck attended the school of Karmnitz and Albersodoff. It was there that he began to fall in love with music. He also fell in love with music while singing in a church choir. As an adult, he attended the University of Prague in 1731, but did not graduate with degrees in logic and mathematics. Christoph started his musical career. He settled in Milan where he began to create symphonies and sacred music. The Tearo Regio Ducal was the first opera visited by Christophe. He offered him the opportunity to perform some of his pieces at the Milan Carnival in 1741. Since he was such an amazing composer, he was offered to perform at the next 4 Milan Carnivals. Years passed and Christoph was asked by Pletro Mingotti to compose his opera for the Dresden play. This event was intended for royal weddings. His success and fame began to be noticed by the Viennese court. He was chosen to compose the Metatasios Sermiramide Ricososciuta. The piece was intended for the celebration of Marie-Thérèse's birthday. In 1750 he was asked to perform at the Prague Carnival. He slowly began to gain recognition as an opera composer and produced 8 operas. After people started noticing who Christoph Gluck was, people started criticizing some of his works. As Christoph was German, they preferred an Italian composer. This did not prevent Christoph from playing, composing or making other compositions. in 17...... middle of paper ...... their music fine until it started going faster and the music started getting a lot deeper. In this song you could see how Christoph made the song seem like a very soft and calm song. Then he started to feel energy and emotion. The woman also gives the song passion and emotion. The woman in the background also brings out the instruments and tones of the song. In some of his songs he uses the violin a lot to express his music and what his song means. Personally, I think the violin is a good instrument to use because it helps you understand the tone of the song. Christoph Gluck was also the kind of composer to express tone and aggression in some of his songs. Overall, Christoph Gluck was a wonderful composer. His compositions were very creative and enjoyable. I would say that Christoph Gluck would be among the most memorable and amazing composer of all time..
