The first piece of evidence that led to this theory was an ice cube tray located at the crime scene. Through chromatography paper tested in Forensic Lab 7, it was revealed that the ice cube tray had been poisoned by the one and only Beverly Hilis. In the forensic report it is stated: “The pH of the ice water was 9” (forensic report). This is important because it was the exact same ice cube tray that Max used in his drink. The only person who could have poisoned Max at the crime scene was Beverly. This is important, since the results of the chromatography tests showed that the ice cube tray was poisoned, Beverly could have made the poison because she is used to doing experimental things, especially as a chemist. Another piece of evidence that aroused suspicion was Dez's briefcase that was found at the crime scene. In the preliminary report it is stated: “I took my dog to the beach for a walk around noon” (preliminary report). If Dez wasn't near the beach house at the time of the murder, that raises suspicion as to why his towel was at the crime scene. In addition to the presence of Dez's towel at the crime scene, there was also the smell of cologne on the towel. In Forensic Lab 4, after testing the cologne of each of our suspects (Dez, Beverly, Chloe, and Ray), we concluded that the cologne matched Dez. Due to the forensic report, he said: "The smell that
