Maria Salomea Sklodowska also known as Marie Curie, which was her married name. She was born on November 7, 1867. She had married Pierre Curie in 1895 at the age of 26 (I think). Marie Curie and Pierre Curie had discovered/invented the elements polonium and radium. His parents were both teachers. She was the most famous scientist of her time. Maria was born in Warsaw. To be able to study, she had to go to Paris to study physics and mathematics. She and her husband were investigating radioactivity. Maria received her first high school diploma at the age of 15.
