  • Essay / My College Experience: My College Experience

The main thing I found that helped me was always completing important paperwork with my parents nearby. They were the only ones with access to the majority of the information I needed and they had to accompany my signature on several occasions. Although it can be very frustrating overall, it was helpful to have my parents there to ask any questions I had. The social question of those under eighteen was approached in a slightly different way. I became conscious of the people I associated with and made sure they were good role models and often sought out friends closer to my age. Being a minor is still a challenge, but it's a challenge I've learned to overcome and will overcome in a few days. Plus I think being seventeen for my first semester was a blessing because it kept away a lot of temptations and allowed me to easily get out of unhappy situations. Being young wasn't my only challenge this year.
