  • Essay / Importance of Quality Employees in Hospitals - 728

It is important that the workers are qualified in the hospital because they are the ones who provide the services to the patients. The services they provide include healthcare, accompanying people for example, if someone is undergoing surgery, an employee will support the patient's family and ensure that they remain calm. This means that employees must be qualified enough to provide these services to the best standards, as their goal is to ensure that patients receive the best service at the time they need it. Employees are an important resource to the hospital and should be treated with respect and provided with support and training as necessary. Indeed, employees are irreplaceable because they are the ones who take care of people and they can do things that machines cannot do. Additionally, daily tasks require people and therefore must be treated with respect, because if they are stressed, the stress will be passed on to the patient, resulting in poor service. The hospital needs both humans and machines within the hospital. This is because humans can only perform certain tasks and machines can only perform other tasks; in other words, machines can do things that humans cannot do, such as x-raying, and humans can do things that machines cannot do, such as talking to a patient. However, the machines are efficient, reliable and precise and provide perfect service, since they are programmed to provide the same service, in the same way for the rest of their lives. The hospital uses both machines and people, because machines need people to operate, even if they are high-tech. For example, a robot performing surgery will always need someone to program it. Additionally, the machines provide greater paper efficiency......wages for workers. Technology has impacted the hospital and its employees by making their work easier and more accurate because the technology is advanced and is susceptible to human errors. However, some staff will need to undergo training to gain the skills to use and understand the technology, which could cost the hospital a lot of money and it will take time for employees to specialize in the new technology. As a result, they will be less effective. Technology as a whole has helped the hospital operate more efficiently, as appointments can be made online or over the phone, there is an online FAQ, the use of email has allowed the hospital to contact more easily to patients and to online patient databases, this makes it easier for the hospital because they only need their details once and they are then recorded in the system.
