Essay / The effects of gender and migration. - 1237
Migration tends to grow, so the number of migrants continues to increase every year. Nearly half of migrants are women. Migration can be examined from different aspects: it promotes the development of people and can also disrupt developments. For some people, migration is just a chance to fulfill their dreams and escape their lives, but for others, migration can make their life even more miserable than it was before. Talking about gender in migration is essential because it shows why people migrate and where they go. The main regions from which people migrate are Africa, China, the Philippines and India. Migration can be external or internal. Everything around us - the actions and other people that make up the society we live in can impact people's decisions to migrate to other places. Nowadays, governments, NGOs and other organizations try to limit migration, but this is not possible as successfully. as expected, because the main causes of migration are rooted in society and it is difficult to uproot them. The main objectives of migration can be divided into two aspects: economic and social. The economic aspect mainly includes money problems and the desire for a better job and better salary. Migration to get better jobs and pay is the only chance for women to fall into poverty, as they can then be economically independent from their husbands and families. For men, it is easier to get a better job with better pay and better working conditions. Unfortunately for women, it's not that easy. Mostly they get jobs related to entertainment, industry, social works or education. But the conditions are not always good. Work may be illegal, irregular, with low income and poor working conditions. But... middle of paper... they don't need to travel all the time and they can stay in one region. To summarize, migration is a widespread trend that people do all over the world. , but especially in regions where the standard of living is low or where people feel discriminated against. Men and women migrate for different reasons. Women migrate mainly because they want to gain more power, feel independent and control their own lives, but also because they want to live with their husbands and children. Men migrate mainly because they want to get better jobs and send money home to their families. Migration can be limited, but it can only be effectively limited if women and men can achieve their goals in their own countries, feel free and achieve a good standard of living. The society of countries where migration is a key problem must also change and try not to judge or discriminate people..
