Fine shows how gender and generation play a role in shaping feminist beliefs. I now know that different generations of women have different views on the role of women in society due to the political socialization they received as teenagers. I realized how men were also participating in the feminist movement and how they could have feminist beliefs. However, women are more likely than men to have greater support for women's equality because they are part of oppressed groups.
