Essay / Jonathan Price in search of the blacksmith - 635
One day, a fourteen-year-old boy named Jonathan Price found himself lying in the grass and suddenly thought: where are mom and dad? Where am I? He did not realize that he had walked one hundred and fifty miles east from his home in Wichita, Kansas and had passed out the day before, October 19, and lost consciousness. As he rose from the grass, he felt a strange urge for food. He began to wander in the direction he thought was home. He started walking through a forest when he saw a beautiful waterfall joining a river. As he walked toward the river, he found what he thought was an apple on the ground and ate it almost immediately. After finishing the so-called apple, he drank some water. He started to smell a sock and looked at the apple in his hands to realize that he had actually picked up an orange. After wandering through the forest for at least another hour or two, he realized what he had done the day before. He had gone to a blacksmith in Dodge City, Kansas, who didn't care that he was only fourteen and would make him any gun he wanted so he could shoot ducks . What Jonathan didn't know was that Dodge City was much further away than it seemed. As he began to turn back, he encountered another boy about the same age as him. He asked him: “Who are you? What are you doing here? » The boy replied kindly, “My name is Kent Palace and I am sixteen years old. I am originally from the land of palaces in Topeka, Kansas. I was sent this way to find the blacksmith named Xavier Bon who supplies the people with everything a blacksmith can make. » Then Jonathan began awkwardly: “Oh! I know where that blacksmith is. I will take you to him. » Jonathan started to return to the middle of the paper… I had no choice. This blacksmith is my friend, so I must kill you. It doesn’t matter if people come looking for you because I won’t be there,” ending his sentence with a gunshot. The blacksmith left the hotel and thanked Jonathan. Jonathan offered the blacksmith a place to work closer to Jonathan's house, where he would be safe. After thinking for a while, the blacksmith finally agreed. It took Jonathan and Xavier two days to return, and when Jonathan's parents learned what he had done, they were proud of him, even though they were afraid he would die. They even offered the blacksmith accommodation in their house. The blacksmith told them that he would be happy to stay with Jonathan's family. Jonathan's family and the blacksmith were able to live a long and happy life together and they were always proud of each other..
