Essay / The importance of social ills in society - 705
I was lucky to be part of an educated family and I was never considered inferior or weaker than my brother and cousins. I enjoyed all the same opportunities and amenities as everyone else in my family. But looking around me as a child, I observed the differences in the lifestyles of the poor and the rich, of working women and non-working women. I always realized that most people work just as hard, but don't receive the same rewards. Housewives are no less than working women, but they are considered dependent and occupy a weaker position in society. I was raised to prove to society that girls are not inferior to boys and that women deserve an equal position in the nation. By pursuing higher education and serving the community, I will try to strengthen the importance of women in the world. Additionally, I would make as much effort as possible to provide underrepresented groups with better services and opportunities. I hope to have the chance to volunteer in several such activities in different parts of the world and make the world a better place for all groups that divide human beings.
