Essay / Poverty Case Study - 980
If we first look at the main conflict theory on the issue of poverty in the United States, we would find that conflict is inevitable in any group or society and even if the United States is a first In a country in the world (that is, a developed, capitalist and industrial country), there is always a problem of poverty. Conflict theorists argue that injustice and inequality cause conflicts that spread throughout a society. Conflict theorists argue that conflicts in a society are the result of an unequal distribution of resources and power in society, where some members have more money, property, and prestige than others in society. In some cases, the wealthy have been found to protect their position by using the power they have accumulated to keep the less fortunate in their place. From the point of view of the poor, it seems that the rich have every chance of success in life, that they have all the finer things in life. This makes people who are poor or in poverty jealous and desperate, at this point poor people will do anything.
