I.Culture is composed of beliefs, social norms, material traits of a race, religion, and declining social groups of Western culture. This means that Western culture is in prolonged decline, despite its technological innovations, its advertised patience, equality of opportunity and its constant efforts to make daily life safer and more comfortable. Some negatives are: the common concern with appearing rich instead of being rich, the bizarre art, and the growing inequality between the rich and the poor. One of the main reasons for the decline of Western culture is because people pretend to be rich by creating a false image, instead of actually being themselves. The media, public opinion, advertisements, and product manufacturers teach Westerners to judge themselves and others based on their possessions, illustrating a phrase that "the rich get richer, the poor get richer." even poorer.” If we look at modern art, which directly signifies the term culture, we will see that priorities have changed significantly from the beginning of the 20th century. Western culture, full of defects and uncomfortable compromises, is gradually slipping out of control.II.1) The words that I encountered with difficulty are the following:a) Aggregate- adjective: take all units as a whole .b) Novelties- noun: something new or unusual.c) Disparity- adjective: very different/polar opposites.d) Erroneous- adjective: containing or characterized by an error.e) Blasphemy- noun: great lack of reverence toward God or something holy.f) Diagnosis– noun: a statement or conclusion that describes the reason for a problem.g) Unsightly- adjective: does not relate to art or beautyh) Socio- economic- adjective: relating to, or involving a combination...... middle of paper. .....ch and the number of poor people has increased considerably. The richest 90% of Americans went from a median salary of $85,800 in 1967 to $138,900, a 62% increase. Clearly illustrating a phrase that “The richer get richer, the poorer get poorer.” This affects my opinion on life because I need to be able to realize this and realize the reality of the world which can be seen as a harsh but valuable lesson. Western culture, full of contradictions and uncomfortable compromises, is slowly slipping. unbalanced that influences many people. This is evidenced by the growing social inequality expressed in the widening gap between rich and poor, in people's obsession with external signs of success, and not in real development. False images and false personas leave you making the right decision among the wrong ones about how you are going to live your life..
