First of all, the library provides book lending services to its customers. Today, libraries fulfill many aspects of their recreational and educational roles through lending services. Initially, the lending function of libraries was limited to books, as the library's stock consisted only of books. For example, the PTAR Library has established book lending to undergraduates, postgraduates, research students and staff, distance learners and faculty.
