Buddhism in American SocietySiddhartha Gautama is known as Gautama Buddha and was the founder of the idea of Buddhism. The Buddha was known to possess supernatural powers and abilities. He was born in the holy land of Nepal and his journey began in India when he decided to travel and learn life on his own. Midway through his journey, he discovered Buddhism after experiencing a profound awareness of the nature of life, death and existence. Buddhism became a religion based on the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama and since then Buddhism has been popular in many civilizations. Buddhism is one of the oldest religions in the world today, where people follow the Buddha, which means "the enlightened one", and Buddhism has gained popularity due to the Buddha's teachings. Buddhism emerged as the indigenous religion of western India and includes a variety of traditions, beliefs and practices based on the teachings of Buddha. There are many reasons why Buddhism became so popular and entered many civilizations. Buddhism began to be popular throughout Asia, alongside India. Buddhism has flourished in the contemporary world, particularly in the West. It's about asking what Buddhism offers that other religions cannot and has become so important around the world. Buddhism became a very widespread idea and the teachings of Buddha made a real difference in many civilizations like India, China, Japan, Vietnam, Korea and surprisingly Buddhism came to make a significant difference in American culture. Buddhism has answers to many questions. problems in materialistic societies. Buddhism includes a deep understanding of the human spirit; this is why I believe that institutionalized Buddhism can be adapted ... middle of paper ...... places where they can practice and meet here in the United States and around the world. Again, as I mentioned before, economic resources can impact the level of engagement when it comes to visiting temples and additional things like having a teacher or mentor (monk) and an actual institution or church for meditating (although people can also just meditate at home. ).In other words, it depends on the person. Buddhism has practices that can be adopted in our society, such as practicing mediation, they have several, choosing to change their diet, like most Buddhists, they are either vegetarian or vegan. Here in America, most people who decide to engage in Buddhist practice tend to adopt the lifestyle of true Buddhists, seeking happiness, clarity, and self-realization. People are becoming more aware of their surroundings and adapting to a more eco-friendly lifestyle..
