  • Essay / Frozen: The Story Continues - 1546

Gerda placed the queen's breakfast tray on the counter to smooth her dark skirts. After worrying about her attire, Gerda half-heartedly grabbed the tray until Kai stopped her and offered to carry it himself; he wore a black overcoat left unbuttoned over his round stomach. Gerda nodded, grabbed the tea instead, and left the kitchen to bring the Queen her breakfast. They smiled and bowed to her, placing the morning meal on the table. Elsa smiled back while thanking them and like the two handmaidens, Elsa wore a darker navy blue dress today, much like the one she wore as a child, instead of her shiny sapphire dress. "Kai, if you can," Elsa began. "Would you be so kind as to go wake Anna?" A look of surprise appeared on the servant's face. "Your Majesty, Anna has already woken up and left the castle." He explained. “Oh, how long ago was that?” “About two hours ago.” Elsa couldn't fight her own surprise because even though she usually woke up the earliest, Anna had beaten her to it today. “Thanks for letting me know, Kai. » “With pleasure, Your Majesty. Would you like me to send someone to get Anna? » “No, it’s okay. I know where I can find my sister, however, I would like to forgive you and the rest of the staff for the day. Please let others know that they can take time off from their work. » Neither Kai nor Gerda could utter words of thanks, but the expression on their faces was enough for the queen. They bowed and left, leaving Elsa alone at the dining table. She placed her hands on her knees and looked at her breakfast. Her appetite didn't come to her this morning, and she didn't really expect it. She looked out the window, wondering if Anna had missed breakfast too.*...... middle of paper ....... Anna felt her heart dancing in her chest from the surge of joy that it brought him. The princess then looked at the ground, but instead of tapping her foot against the earth like Elsa would do, Anna held out her palms towards the paved grass and it began to freeze. She then brought her hands together, swirling and rocking the air as she had seen her sister do so many times. A white light began to glow between his palms, surrounded by swirls of blue dust. She lifted the balloon to the sky before it burst, covering everything with a new layer of snow. Anna turned to face her sister, smiling more than she ever thought possible. Elsa's face only mirrored her sister's as they held hands in the snowy yard. "I love you." Anna squeezed her sister's hands. " I love you too. “Do you want to build a snowman?” » “I thought you would never ask.”
