    Medical NutritionAging is difficult, and unfortunately it is also inevitable. It's a part of life and everyone living a normal life goes through it. Aging is very difficult not only for the person who is aging, but also for their loved ones. As they age, most people need more and more care to be able to lead a normal life from one day to the next. Over time, this level of care may become too much for their loved ones to be able to provide. When something like this happens, outside help is needed. This care may take the form of home care or moving to a care facility. Many people end up needing a significant amount of care and need to be placed in a facility that can provide the type of care they need on a daily basis. Nursing homes and health centers are the last stop for many hospitalized patients. They can also serve as temporary places for people who are recovering from a stroke or surgery and need rehabilitation to get their lives back on track (Mcgrody). There is nothing wrong with having to move to a nursing home, but it can be a very stressful time for that person and their family, as the end of life is usually not too far away. Many people begin to have difficulty eating as they age, which can lead to lower nutrition levels. Weight loss usually results from this malnutrition. Such difficulties may arise in part due to the different aspects of mealtimes in nursing homes or care facilities. There are strategies to help alleviate or cope with problems that arise at the end of life due to diet.
