On October 5, 2013, I received exceptional news that left me speechless. I was informed by the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists that I had been chosen to represent my school and state at this wonderful event. I later realized that I was close to realizing my dream of becoming an anesthesiologist. This day made me think about my future in medicine and understand why medicine was so important to me. At the age of 10, I knew for sure that I wanted a career in the medical field and others around me were sure that medicine was the ideal field. In my opinion. I had a warm heart for everyone and was always the one who cared for others' feelings and pain. My desire to become an anesthesiologist is more than a salary, it is my desire to touch the lives of citizens, young and old. I plan to become the anesthesiologist everyone remembers as being kind and welcoming to everyone's problems. I plan to go to work, interact with my patients, and get to know each patient personally. I want each of my patients to feel comfortable and to be able to ask me all the necessary questions....
