Pg. 1- Marina loved doing everything with her father. Wherever he went, Marina wanted to go too. If he went to the store, she wanted to accompany him; in the winter, when he shoveled snow, Marina would be right behind him with her little blue shovel that looked like Dad. 2- One day, Marina's father asked her what her favorite season was. Marina's response to her father's question is not what you would expect. Marina's favorite season isn't fall, spring or summer and it definitely wasn't winter, she hated winter the most. “My favorite seasons are fishing season and hockey season,” Marina exclaimed enthusiastically. Pg.3 - “I'm glad to hear that because the fishing season starts tomorrow, so you better get a good night's sleep,” her father explained. That night, Marina went to bed very early so that she would be wide awake in the morning. 4 - Very early the next morning, Marina's father went to her room to wake her up but to her surprise, Marina was already awake, looking in her drawers and closet for the perfect outfit to go fishing with her dad. 5- While Marina was searching and preparing, her father was outside in front of the house, hooking the boat to the van and preparing all the fishing equipment for departure. He had to pack the emergency kit, tackle boxes, paddles, fishing rods, and he couldn't forget to pack LUNCH! Pg. 6- When Marina was finally all dressed and ready to go, she went out and jumped into the van. From the back of the boat, she could hear her father shouting, "Don't forget to fasten your seat belt, you need to be safe." Pg.7- Once his father had packed everything into the boat, he climbed into the front seat of the boat. van and tied himself up. Start it! Start it! Marina exclaimed and... middle of paper ... everything went away, soon after the lake was behind them and they were on their way home. Marina didn't see all the sights on the way back, like she had on the way up. Being out in the sun all day made her tired and she slept soundly in the van. Pg.23- When he came home, his father woke him up and she entered the house slowly. She told her mother about her fishing trip with her dad while they were having dinner and after she was done, she got ready for bed. She put on her Sailor Moon pajamas, washed her face and brushed her teeth. The last thing Marina did before going to bed was to hug her parents and wish them good night. Pg. 24- After she was already in bed, she jumped into bed and fell into a deep sleep. That night, all Marina could dream of was being on the water and fishing with her father. When she woke up, Marina could go fishing with her dad again...
