    Britain led the way in industrialization and spread it throughout Europe. Some consider it the best thing that ever happened to the world. Others, however, see it as a bad thing. Of course, such a big change had an effect on everyone, including reformers and the government, but the biggest effect was on workers. Since the 19th century, industrialization has had both positive and negative effects on the lives of workers. Industrialization is the process of development of mechanical production of goods. Vast natural resources such as water power, coal, iron ore, rivers and ports were necessary for industrialization. Britain not only had these resources, but also an expanding economy to support industrialization, a large working population, and political stability that gave it an advantage. All of these are called factors of production. In Britain, industrialization changed the lives of workers in many ways. One of the ways workers' lives have changed is being able to earn higher wages.
