Old man Warner snorted. “Bundle of fools,” he said (Jackson, 70 years old). This means that he is one of those who does not stop traditions. He believes that if this stops, they will return to primitive times. At the end of the story, Mrs. Delacroix selects a stone “so big she had to pick it up with both hands” (Jackson, 76). This demonstrates Ms. Delacroix’s eagerness. stone her friend
