A remake is a film that was produced, based on or inspired by an already existing older film. Whether it's an allusion or a line-by-line reworking of a film, the term remake covers anything related to reused material. She pursues a reluctant Broadway producer to find a job and, just like in the original, she even tries to steal an apple while starving, which leads her to Carl Denham who approaches her with an opportunity to appear in his film. The complexity of Ann's character, in the remake, also allows for greater development of the relationship between Beauty and the Beast. This significant change gives the film a new level of heart that the previous film lacked.
