This is how Dally and Johnny, two characters from the film The Outsiders by SE Hinton, live on a daily basis. One welcomes this problem while the other cowers. Dally Winston and Johnny Cade are two characters who, although very different, have very similar characteristics. Johnny and Dallas are two very similar characters. For example, they both have neglectful parents. Dally was imprisoned at the age of ten and spent three years on the bad side of New York. He became hard and cold, with a hatred of the world, all because he did not receive proper attention. Dally himself mentions: “Damn it, Johnny, what does it matter? Shoot, my old man doesn't care if I'm in jail, dead in a car accident or drunk in the gutter. It doesn't bother me. none." Dally spits out evidence of his father's neglect and shows his irresponsible personality.
