When you walk through the halls of a high school, you'll hear a few things, but you'll hear swearing everywhere. It seems like everyone does it, but you'll never catch me saying those words, you see, I think swearing is bad. (#28) I grew up in a Christian home with parents who did not tolerate such language. I don't blame them, in fact I agree with them and I know they discouraged it because they love me. Because of this upbringing, I don't swear. I never saw the reason for it. Cursing someone, or even nothing, shows that you have very little respect for anyone, that swearing serves no purpose, and overall it makes you look unintelligent. Swearing is just plain rude. When I hear someone swear, either at me, or at someone else, or even at nothing, the respect I had for them before is lost. By saying such words, they disrespect others. They might disrespect the person they are talking to or the people around them by saying offensive things. It also makes me wonder what kind of parents they grew up with.
